Shane Del Rosario Car Accident, Career Ending?

The 27 year old California native was getting ready for his upcoming fight when he was struck by a drunk driver.



Before the weekend the details were scant and all we knew was that he was in a fender bender. This came as a concern to fight fans because the Team Death Clutch student was set to contest a bout against American Kickboxing Student Daniel Cormier.

Details have now emerged that the woman behind the wheel was under the influence of alcohol when she struck Rosario at 6pm.

Family members and friends are hopeful for a full recovery but his trainer Colin Oyama seems a little more skeptical.

"He's been trying to go to rehab as much as possible, but it's difficult with the lawsuit in what you can and can't do. Everything you do is affecting the lawsuit. People following him (and saying), 'Oh, he's not hurt, he can walk.' It's like, come on. Are you kidding me?"
