"I'm going to beat his ass. It's not hard to pick on Michael. Everyone hates that guy. Since Osama bin Laden's been dead, he's enemy number one in America."
"It's stacked (middleweight division), homies don't know how to act."
"You put me in front of him (Anderson Silva) and I will take his ass down and choke his ass out, you think I'm joking, son?"

'THAT KNEE WAS ILLEGAL'
Accusations are now flying in from Rivera's camp about 'The Knee' that stole the spotlight of the night. Bisping's illegal knee that cost him a point in the first round was ridiculed by 'The Conquistador' and his management.

RIVERA FAILS TO BACK CHATTER
![]() |
Last Sunday 'down under,' viewers saw the co-main event between end midway through the second round.
Prior to this fight, Rivera released a barrage of videos that attacked the Brit on personal and business levels. Rivera went so far as to imitate the infamous South Park Kyle's Mom is the Biggest Bitch into his own rendition of Bisping is a Dirty Dick and accused the kcikboxer of not finishing fights and having light hands, not capable of warranting a KO from anyone.
Bising took the insults very close to heart as he has a young son who is at the age of perusing the internet and sharing viral videos with his friends. Bisping claimed this was the tipping point when his child came home from school being allegedly made fun of because of his father and Rivera's comment of how Koala's are in decline because of a mass STD outbreak. Irony in there is that 'The Count's' wife is from that lovely island.
Bisping had his revenge as he won via TKO in the second round. The first round saw some action in which Michael successfully took Rivera down several times establishing dominance in his ability to take the fight down if need be. In the midst of takedowns Rivera continually loaded up his right hand, throwing the big bomber, landing several good shots. Unfortunately Jorge failed to remember the jab and would be his downfall, constant attention to his right hand made his game easily read from across the world.
This most notable moment of the fight came when Bisping landed a knee to the FULLY DOWNED Rivera. While 'The Conquistador' was down on both knees, Bising landed a clear illegal knee that put Jorge in a daze. With a look of confusion and doctors on the verge of stopping the bout, Rivera manned-up and pressed on. Bisping was deducted one point for the knee, but after a clear dominant round for the Wolfslair kickboxer he walked away with a clear 9-9 round.
The second round was all Bisping as he landed heavy shot after heavy shot in the stand-up deartment. Continuous 'angry hands' from Bisping backpedaled Jorge in the cage turning to his side exposing the left side of his body. From there Bisping took full advantage of the left temple that remained unguarded as continuous right elbows and right hands dropped 'The Conquistador" before a flurry on the ground had the referee step in a pull Bisping off before any more damage could be done.
Bisping then in celebration went over to the corner of Rivera, square up his stance and spit right through the cage in the direction of Michael Phinney (Jorge's cornerman). Phinney jumped to his feet but only before being quickly restrained.
'The Count' continued his verbal assault as he walked back across the cage he just came from and got into the face of a seemingly dazed and wobbled Rivera and said, "Apologize," pitting a finger on the tattoo of Rivera's girlfriend who passed away last year and followed with, "You make fun of my family, fucker. Apologize." With Rivera unable to properly communicate due to his possible multiple concussions, his body language said enough.
Michael Bisping has been avidly promoting his exuberance to be in the UFC, and the professionalism that comes along with the job. Before the fight he bit his tongue well and kept quiet in press conferences, but afterwords it was a whole different story. It is understandable to get caught up in the moment and to be so hyped up after a fight that courtesy goes out the window, but spitting and then getting the face of Rivera for over a minute! Michael Bisping is one of the biggest hypocrites the UFC has ever seen. He talks how is above the spitting and trash talking, yet he does it. The worst part is, in post-fight interviews all he claims over and over is how he 'did not mean to do it' and 'you just get so worked up, so I apologize, I really do.' That is not professional, that is immature. Plain and simple.

LOVE THIS SHIT
This is what makes watching fighting fun. Rivera knew he was gonna get under the skin of Bisping and in the photo here, you can see it. The Count was escorted (curteously) off the stage after their face-off, while Rivera walked off aloof and unfazed to the anger from the Brit.

UFC 127: Bisping V Rivera
A lot of hype has been put into this fight from both the promotion of the UFC as well as Rivera himself. It only makes logistical sense after the finish from both fighters in their previous bouts. Bisping was last seen in the octagon against Yoshihiro Akiyama back in October of last year. Going all three rounds and earning the Fight of the Night bonus from Dana White, we saw one of the most technical striking and dangerous Michael Bisping's that we had ever seen. His punches were precise, on pointw and his kicks sent Akiyama backpedaling into the cage on more than one occasion.
Recently several vlog's show Bisping taking his training half-hearted and going only what appears twenty to thirty percent in sparring sessions. Another video the following week the shows Bisping at a sporting event with his children downing soda, hot dogs, and popcorn. People close to the fighter state that this unusual and hope it does not affect Bisping come weigh-ins.
It will be hard to say that Bisping will not earn this win after watching his last fight, but recent videos may state otherwise.
A mirror-image quote could be said for Rivera as well. His last appearance inside the cage was against a very powerful and always dangerous Nate 'Rock' Quarry who has had notable finishes against Shonie Carter, Jason MacDonald, and Tim Credeur. Rivera's has won six of his last nine fights, all except one ending before the judges decision. In Rivera's previous bout with Quarry, we saw the power that Rivera has in his striking when he dropped Quarry seconds into the second round.
Rivera asked for this fight soon after Quarry, calling out Bisping by name. Rivera has attacked Bisping both inside and outside the cage, taking jabs at both his nationality, accent, and training routines regularly. Videos mocking Bisping show: Rivera and Bisping playing one another in table tennis with Bisping being afraid to return a serve, Bisping talking in third person about himself while answering questions about himself, and imitations of the what is shown the in the actual Bisping Vlogs.
Bisping has taken these attacks personal stating that if he were black, hispanic, asian, etc. this qould be an outrage but because he is British, it is fine. Nonetheless all trashtalking aside, this will make for one exciting fight.
All mocking and anger aside, the odds are in favor of Bisping (-350) to Rivera (+275). After watching previous bouts of both fighters, Bisping appears to have the upper hand coming into this weekend. Although taking recent online accounts into factor, some are beginning to question Bisping's cardio and how serious he is taking this fight. With one week left, Bisping has yet to show his intensity for this fight that he has shown in the past. Rivera on camera appears ready for war and mentally collected. But, at the end of the day talk is talk and you must put up or shut up. On Saturday February 27th we will find out who will take the win.
My Prediction: Bisping via Decision
