TUF: LESNAR V SANTOS

As days wind down to the premiere episode of the 13th season of UFC's The Ultimate Fighter, fans anticipate and deteste the coaching match-up of Brock Lesnar and Junior Dos Santos. Dana chose this opportunity to use this program as the launch pad to both promote Brock Lesnar...more...and to give attention to the upcoming heavyweight title fight presumably in July or August. Naturally the top two division contenders would duke it out in a three round galosh, where the judges decide. Instead, the anticipation and constant reminder every week on Spike TV will be a new path.

Will this become a hinderance for the UFC in their future promotion? Brock Lesnar has already been shown that he clearly lacks the stand-up game to compete with the best. Now we get slapped in the face with commercials and ads over and over again promoting the exact same fight. Remind if this sounds right, Brock Lesnar against a very technical, well rounded striker.

This 13th season looks to be fairly boring from the aspect of excitement in the coaches, but then again the show is about the fighters.

But how about credentials? Where is Brock going to be looking for help? How about Junior? Well the former WWE superstar is bringing in his same old coaches from back home. The ones that have been aiding (I rather would like to use hindering) in his reclusive training in the mountains. Full list here.

Dos Santos in the meanwhile has brought a who's who from his home at Black House. While in an interview he gave us an inside, stating we will see lots of BJJ blackbelts and a top Muay Thai coach from Thailand.
