LIVING 'THE DREAM'

The main event proved to be spectacular this evening as Diego Sanchez took on Martin Kampmann at the KFC Yum! Center. It went the distance and eventually Diego 'The Dream' Sanchez walked away with the decision.

It was an all-out slug fest as both fighters walked away looking as if they had been to war, with Sanchez receiving most of the damage as blood ran down both cheeks in the final seconds as if someone had taken a red paintbrush and went to down.

All three rounds stayed on the feet while both fighter threw caution to the wind as if both appearing to be blazing for the Knockout of the Night Award. It was difficult to take Sanchez serious as he entered the ring with his walkout music being 'La Bamba', but he proved to be very serious with his best mean face as he entered the arena.

Both fighters connected at points, Diego tagged Kampmann a few times in the final round and Kampmann stuffed every single shot from Sanchez from start to finish. It was a great fight that had no boring moments, and a controversial decision finish, very similar to UFC 128 last Saturday in Sydney, Australia.

Kampmann was shaking his hand in the third round giving rise to the belief that it was broken. After the bout he confirmed that he could not throw a punch and believed himself that it was fractured. He will be headed to the hospital alongside Sanchez who headed straight out after the decision, as he unable to give any post fight interviews

Blood continued to run down his chest in the post fight interview with Joe Rogan from his face. Sanchez dedicated his fight to his son Ivan, who was home sick.
