Matt Hughes and Diego Sanchez Meet At UFC 135

As expected, a long rumored match-up between UFC hall of famer Matt Hughes and fellow welterweight Diego Sanchez has been made official for UFC 135 on September 24 in Denver, Colorado, the UFC announced Friday.



Sanchez (23-4) has returned to contention following back-to-back losses with wins over Paulo Thiago and Martin Kampmann, while Hughes (45-8) suffered a 21-second KO to BJ Penn in November after a three-fight win streak.

The UFC 135 pay-per-view is headlined by a title fight between UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
