BRIAN BOWLES ON REPEAT MODE

Brian Bowles won this evening in his rematch against Damacio Page in the exact same way, round, and minute as their first meeting at WEC 35 in 2008. The opening bout on Versus Network never left the first round. The fight was the first on the main card of the UFC Live: Sanchez V Kampmann in Louisville, Kentucky.

The pace started fast and never let up. Page came in strong in the opening minute with a flurry of punches, knees, and flying kicks. A few landed strong, but nothing showed on the face of the young American from Athens, Georgia. Staying calm and collected the wrestler was able to take the Page to the ground.

From there it only last a few second as Bowles slapped on his signature guillotine. "I work on it all the time in practice, it's my signature move." Holding on tight he was able to roll onto his left side exposing the face of Page, whose eyes were closed. With Bowles looking back up at the referee, yelling something, it was clear the bout was finished.

A very anguished Page paced back and forth in his corner waiting for the decision, clearly looking depressed. Now losing two straight, first in a hard fought battle against Demetrious Johnson which ended in a decision loss after a year off. Now with these two disappointing back-to-back 'L's' on the record, will the UFC keep the Angel of Death, or will he see the axe?
