Fights Fights Fights!!

This weekend, Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th of April will hold several Mixed Martial Arts Events. Bjjardos wants to help you pick the three best ones to tune into, so we will show where to go to get more information on where to watch and who is on the card.

1. First on the list is the always explosive Maximum Fighting Championship. MFC  29 The card sees two belt defenses as Welterweight Douglas Lima and Light Heavyweight champ Ryan Jimmo put their skills to the test. Also on the card in the recently UFC-cut Marcus Davis, the always exciting Pete Spratt, and former champ Hermes Franca.

2. Bellator has always held prominent cards in which their fighter make statements around the fight nation. This weekend a handful of fighters will have a chance to do the same and move up in yet another season of the Bellator Lightweight and Welterweight Tournaments. The two fights to keep an eye on are the two final bouts of the night. First the heavyily favored Jay Heiron has a chance to move up in the tournament and solidify his spot in the finals. Second, in a special, non-title fight Ben Askren will take on Nick 'The Goat' Thompson who has been training with Jake Shields. Shields has been getting ready for his Welterweight title fight against GSP so 'The Goat' has been under Sonnen, Melendez, and the Diaz Brothers. Look for a good war on the ground.

3. The third one to check out is the Strikeforce fights on Showtime this Saturday evening in sunny, San Diego. BJJardos has been covering the card all week long and just in case you have been living under a rock or prefer to call MMA, UFC; Nick Diaz will fight Paul Daley in a Welterweight title fight and the current Strikeforce Lightweight champ, Gil Melendez puts his belt on the line against the Japanese phenom Tatsuya Kawajiri.
